Transformed By Grace By Pastor David Benjamin

By | sermons | No Comments

GRACE Defined:

“Grace is love that seeks you out when you have nothing to give in return. Grace is love coming at you that has nothing to do with you. Grace is being loved when you are unlovable ”~Paul Zahl
Grace is the power from God that gives us both the desire and the ability to do His will.

GRACE Described:

SAVING GRACE
This Grace draws ALL MANKIND towards Salvation. It is the fullness of God’s Love found In Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9: For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;  not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].

Text: Ephesians2:6-8

Intro: The announcement of Jer1:4-5 must necessarily require a process having been initiated by God as an eternal work II Tim 1:9

So, we simply begin to live in the full potential of the call of grace over our lives when we receive Jesus as our Lord
and Savior.

This however does not mean that we have not been exhibiting this unmerited endowment, even before we met the Lord Jesus.

This is why we want to consider the idea of being graced for glory.

3 vital truths about GRACE

(1) Grace is a free endowment by God for His sole purpose Gal.11:15-16a

2) Grace, though free to us, come at a cost to God. That’s why it’s! God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense- John 3:16-17;

So, 2 Cor 5:21KJV

(3) Grace is not a call to disorderliness or unrighteousness Rom. 6:1-2&23

But for the glory to show forth from grace, the carrier must be Polished (take the heat, the punch and the knocks) IICor 4:7-14.

Are you willing to carry God’s glory?

Then, be ready for polishing!

While Waiting – Pastor Dare Akinbanjo (15.11.20)

By | sermons | No Comments

Text – Luke 4: 1-8

INTRODUCTION
Generally not many Christians fast. Some believe that Jesus has finished everything with dry fasting OF 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS (Luke 4: 1-8). They even claim that since the Holy Spirit is always interceding for us, we do not need to labour in prayers.

However the real truth is that waiting on the LORD is a necessity for anyone who’ll make it to heaven. The journey to heaven is a marathon. You will therefore need to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Phil. 4:13.

Text – Isaiah 58:1-12

INTRODUCTION:

As believers, we have heard so much  about Fasting and Prayer that we do only  little in the practical sense.

But Fasting and Prayer is the only  authentic platform as a Christian that you  can truly spiritually focus on what is  important to the Lord.

NOTE: Fasting and Prayer is also another way  (not the only way) to wait on the Lord.  However, there is no equally effective  alternative to it

Word Feast 2020 (Day 2) – Enduring Relevance by Pastor Pastor Mrs. Funke Laditi

By | sermons, Word Feast 2020 | No Comments

• Lasting relevance: To remain useful over a long period of time.
(English)

• Relevance as children of God means to be fit for purpose

• If you are looking for lasting relevance, you must align yourself with God’s kingdom agenda – Salvation of soul. John 3:16

* We draw our context from a different paradigm. Our paradigm is the mind of God and what’s on God’s mind? EVANGELISM. (Salvation of souls)

* Principles of Lasting Relevance: 1. Definition of context. 2. Relationship with the Holy Spirit (Divine guidance). 3. Obedience 4. Soul transformation

* If you are going to have lasting relevance, your mind will be prone to attacks, which is why it must be renewed from time to time.

* The more God can trust you, the more He will bless you.

* You demonstrate your love for God by your Obedience.

* The gap between great intention and righteous action is a limitation in the mind.

* If you are going to have lasting relevance, the instruction God will give you will push you outside your comfort zone.
